Location within NY State Geographic Information Fonda is located at 42°57’16”N     74°22’32”W   Elevation is 295’ According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), of which, 0.5 square miles (1.4 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (11.48%) is water. Fonda is on the north bank of the Mohawk River on the opposite bank from the Village of Fultonville. New York State Route 5, New York State Route 30A, and New York State Route 334 converge on Fonda.
